Detailed step-by-step photographs provide the information a do-it-yourselfer needs to complete the projects themselves.

Synopsis

Shows homeowners how to embellish the ceilings in their homes by applying false beams, medallions, coffers, tin ceilings, and other treatments.

Karen Ellis - Library Journal

Carpenter Barrett, the author of previous works on trim, here re-creates traditional ceiling treatments, including suspended ceilings and plank, beam, and tin ceilings, pointing out the attributes and advantages. These methods are not well covered elsewhere, so this book is distinctive. One drawback is the lack of instruction for a ceiling dome. For most public libraries.
