Overview

In the rapidly developing field of high resolution astronomical imaging, there are strong parallels between the interferometric methods used at radio frequencies and in the optical/infrared, despite the differences in hardware. IAU Symposium 158 brought together workers from all wavebands, to discuss the science and art of 'Very High Angular Resolution Imaging'. As well as the latest techniques, a number of astronomical results from high resolution imaging were also presented. The proceedings of this Symposium will be of interest to researchers and graduate students in the field of high resolution astronomy.
