hawaiimagazine.com - John Heckathorn

O'Meara lives in Volcano [Village, Hawaii]. When we finally caught up with her on the phone, she'd had three hours sleep in the last four days, so mesmerized was she by events at the summit.... Ironically, O'Meara's stunning new volume Volcano: A Visual Guide, ....contains every type of volcano, every type of eruption, every type of lava, on every continent, under the sea and in outer space.

AmericanProfile.com - Neil Pond

Stunning color photos bring you closer than you'd ever want to stand to some of the world's most spectacular active volcanoes... Even though Volcano is also full of facts...it's the nearly 300 pictures that make you really feel the heat.

myshelf.com - Janie Franz

Volcano: A Visual Guide is a breathtaking look at these awe-inspiring geological phenomena that keep reminding us that the earth is vibrant and ever-changing. Highly recommended.

Science News

In this book of stunning photographs, O'Meara...captures the destructive and renewing power of volcanoes.... [and] reveals how these dynamic features shape the landscape and excite our imaginations.

Honolulu Advertiser.com

There are 1,500 active volcanoes around the world, and Donna O'Meara is iun love all of them. She calls volcanoes "a smorgasbord for the sense" because they hiss with steam, gurgle with lava and blow up. In ["Volcanoes"], O'Meara gives readers a 280-photograph glimpse of their beautiful, but frightening, displays of power.
