Overview
In 1919, Sir William Osler, MD, born in Ontario, was the Regius Professor of Medicine at Oxford University and the most famous medical doctor in the English-speaking world. In that year he wrote his Reminiscences about his personal and professional relationship 30 years earlier with the American poet Walt Whitman. Dr. Osler died before his manuscript could be published. Now, thanks to the exclusive permission granted by the Board of Curators of the Osler Library at McGill University, Philip W. Leon presents for the first time the complete text of Osler's Reminiscences, revealing the extent of the doctor's relationship with Walt Whitman.Book Details
