Synopsis

This volume presents the proceedings of an international conference held on 24-25 March, 1993 in London under the auspices of the Society for Underwater Technology.
Contributions have been selected from three major areas of development: the measurement and prediction of the kinematics of waves and of combined waves and currents; the derivation of environmental forces on structures whether offshore or coastal; and problems peculiar to shallow or coastal waters, with particular emphasis on breaking waves.
This book is of value to engineers and scientists interested in the latest advances in research and development in the determination of environmental forces on offshore and coastal structures.
