An explanation of tornadoes is entitled Spinning Storms and tells about the air rush of such a phenomenon. The art project utilizes newspaper, a plastic bottle, black paint, wire, bubble wrap, glue, white tissue paper, silver paint, and bottle caps to create your own form of tornado that clanks and jingles when it is spun around. All projects use commonly available items. Some activities could be adapted for science fair projects. An index, glossary and materials guide are helpful resources.
