Synopsis
Bear enjoys a day with nothing particular to do, but his friends seem too busy to play with him.

PreS-K-This is the perfect story for a child who has ever been too big, too heavy, too noisy, too pesky, or too clumsy. Bear just wants to play, but he crushes the flowers and Bee complains. He rolls onto Mole and Mole complains. He frightens the fish away and Heron complains. Then he disturbs Fox's nap. Soft colors featuring big, adorable animals and the simple, repetitive story line make this a great read-aloud. Young listeners will no doubt remember times when they heard grumbles because of their behavior. In the end, all the animals come back to Bear and tell him that even with all his faults, he is really fun. So is this book.-Beverly Combs, Webb Middle School, Garland, TX Copyright 2005 Reed Business Information.
