From The Critics
Edwards (emeritus, philosophy, U. of Tennessee) examines the philosophical conceptions behind various big bang theories, suggesting that only one of them is without flaws. Separate chapters look at scientific cosmology, humanistic naturalism, steady state and plasma cosmologies, antecedent universe cosmologies, big fizz and big divide quantum cosmologies, quantum observership cosmology, big accident quantum cosmology, and atheistic anthropic cosmology. He defends the view that only God could have created the big bang and promotes a "process" theism which see certain aspects of God as changing in relation to the deity's "interaction with created worlds and creatures as they come in to being in spacetime and history."
