Overview

There are many religions that exist in today's "ME" world. Christianity, while popular to say the least, doesn't even come close to a majority in the polls. Even The Beatles were more popular than Christ. While history explains that there is more written about Jesus than any other man, it would be safe to say that there is more disdain towards Christ than full, loving belief in His mission. However, Jesus fulfilled His mission. He went through with it. He died on the cross to save the very people who nailed the spikes. Man, in his imperfection, can profess to believe in Christ. But still we stumble along, being human, being sinful. We fall short, counting on God's grace each and every day. For some, this free gift is recognized and realized now. God forgives, so we can go forward, being humans, falling short, by nature, sinful. For many, God's grace doesn't quite do the job. Jesus says, "God's grace is sufficient" and "whoever believes in me shall be saved..." But what if no one believed?

About the Author, David Edsall

David D. Edsall was born in Jamestown, New York, and moved to Maryland when he was 13 years old. His travels took him to Texas, where he lived for 10 years prior to moving back to Maryland. Growing up, he was instilled with a strong faith by his parents, Martha and Gary, Sr., along with his two brothers, Douglas and Gary, Jr. The ideals and beliefs held by his family of Betteses, Swansons and Edsalls propelled his faith journey. David's beliefs have been tested and proven strong through serving as the President of several Church Councils, in Maryland and Texas. His spiritual growth continues as he stays active in the church. Especially noted is his friendship with Pastor Lewis Groce, author of Fear Not! A Layman's Guide to Theology. Rev. Groce and David became partners in Edsall Golf Group, a Texas partnership, and their faith journey continues today. Dr. Ken Holder, a biblical scholar in his own right, remains connected in a very close friendship. Throughout his life, Dave has encountered many pastors, theologians and friends that have helped shape his perspective. These continued contacts offer further illumination to the mystery of God's Grace - a journey that is life itself. David's use of golf insets draws from his experience as a Golf Course Architect. He is the Principal in Dave Edsall Golf Design, Inc., based in Maryland. Dave's world class golf designs are spread throughout the US and abroad, and can be viewed at www.degolfdesign.com.
