Explore and learn about four types of weather: rainy, windy, sunny, and snowy. The color photographs provide clues about the weather. The children are invited to deduce the weather when the text presents the question, "What's the weather?" The response is on the next page along with additional information pertinent to the type of weather such as the rain helping plants to grow or the sun providing warmth for the animals. The text draws to a close with a quick and brief summary of the four types of weather that were explored. There are great snapshots that introduce and support some basic concepts about the weather to preschoolers. At the back of the book, there are some ideas to support children's understanding of the weather concepts. This book is part of the "Rookie Preschool: Rookie Learn About Nature" series which covers other concepts and topics geared for preschoolers.
