From Barnes & Noble

Meet Wibbly! He's a very cute, very pink, very young pig who's just waiting to bring toddlers along on his fun adventures. Wibbly builds towers and tents, opens presents, chooses his favorite foods and toys, and eats ice cream on the beach -- all with simple text and appealing illustrations, in a sturdy board book format. In this great story, readers are told: "Wibbly Pig likes bananas. What do you like?" Wibbly Pig almost always knows what he likes, but when it comes to choosing a favorite bear, he can't decide!

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot

Wibbly is a pig with charm. With just a few strokes, Mick Inkpen manages to create a delightful character in lots of familiar situations. Little ones will easily relate to the fun, antics and adventures of this lovable little pig. Each book asks an age appropriate question to stimulate conversation with toddlers. The simple text is a perfect match for the clean crisp artwork that is set off so well on shiny white, but very sturdy board book pages. The other titles in the series include Wibbly Pig Opens His Presents, Wibbly Pig Can Make a Tent, Wibbly Pig is Upset, Wibbly Pig Makes Pictures, and Wibbly Pig Can Dance.

PreS-These board books introduce an endearing little creature with big ears who shares the likes and dislikes of toddlers. Tent describes some of the things the young animal can do, including play with bubbles and make a cushion mountain and a tent. The second book covers the range of emotions the pig feels during one day at the beach. Bananas invites children to interact by asking which foods and toys they think the animal will select as his favorites. The last book opens with a picture of a stack of distinctively shaped, wrapped gifts. One by one, Wibbly Pig unwraps them to reveal what's inside. Simple, colorful drawings outlined in crayon illustrate these titles. An entertaining series that's sure to hold the attention of the toddler set.-Joyce Rice, Limestone Creek Elementary School, Jupiter, FL Copyright 2000 Cahners Business Information.
