About the Author, Photina Rech

Sister Photina Rech (l914-1983), a cloistered Benedictine nun of the Abbey of the Holy Cross in Herstelle, Germany, spent her life exploring the key symbols of Christian life and liturgy. This book presents two essays from her great theology of the liturgy, Key to the Cosmos: A Symbolism of Creation, originally published in German.

Heinz R. Kuehn , a native German, immigrated to the United States in 1951 at age 32. Having worked for 37 years in various professional associations while raising a family of six children with his wife, Regina, Heinz is now an independent scholar. He is the author of several books and numerous essays dealing with historical, literary, philosophical, and religious topics.
