His compilation will be a helpful companion or tool for those mourning the anticipated death of a parent, the peaceful passing of a spouse of many years or of an old and trusted friend. There is nothing here, however, that addresses the stunning vacuum left by an abrupt and untimely death of a child or the agony of coping with violent death.
