For the most part, wolves are shy animals that fear people and they rarely attack humans. They will under certain circumstances. Scientists are still trying to determine exactly what circumstances cause wolves to show aggression to unsuspecting humans. It seems that a wolf attack is more likely if it has become too comfortable near people or has come to rely on humans for food. In addition to interesting facts on wolves, this book provides short accounts of some of the precarious encounters that humans have had with wolves. The graphic and gory photographs in the book prove that wolves can be extremely dangerous and that steps to prevent an encounter with a wolf should always be taken.
