Gr 2-3-Attractive photography does not redeem these titles that suffer from poor writing and editing. For example, Eggs states that "Both egg yolk and white have many nutrients, called protein, calcium, and vitamins," yet the glossary says most of the nutrients are in the yolk. The information is basically correct, but the simplistic vocabulary at times leads to incomplete information and awkward sentence structure. The full-page captioned photos do add bits of information, but their sequence is questionable as they do not always match the text. All of the titles end abruptly.-Eldon Younce, Harper Elementary School, KS Copyright 2001 Cahners Business Information.Book Details
