World Development Indicators 2005

Published annually by the World Bank, this reference provides an up-to-date, detailed report on progress towards goals established in the 2000 Millennium Declaration. These goals set quantified targets for more than 800 indicators of development in areas such as poverty reduction, the education of children, and environmental sustainability. The data are organized into six main categories corresponding to global goals, people, the environment, economic performance, the investment climate, and globalization.
