Overview

Looking through the eyes of infinity, Yoga Psychology and the Transformation of Consciousness takes us on a journey through the evolution of consciousness that encompasses billions of years of terrestrial history. It does so from an explicitly spiritual perspective, yet one that in no way conflicts with scientific findings. In lucid detail, it makes clear how every thought, every feeling and every breath we take is an expression of a hidden Divine Consciousness. This book helps us to see and understand, from a spiritual perspective, our flaws and limitations as well as our potential for nobility and compassion. In very practical ways, it shows us how we can turn inward, awaken to the Divine presence within, and allow That to infuse and transform us as individuals and a society.

About the Author, Don Salmon

Don Salmon, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist and composer, received a grant from the Infinity Foundation to write a comprehensive study of yoga psychology based on the synthesis of the yoga tradition presented by twentieth-century Indian philosopher-sage Aurobindo Ghose.

Jan Maslow, an educator and organizational consultant, has, with Dr. Salmon, given presentations, classes and workshops in the United States and India on yoga psychology. Both have studied the works of Aurobindo Ghose and his associate Mirra Alfassa for more than 25 years.
