Eloise Lovelace is a retired special education teacher with ALS, an incurable disease that wreaks havoc on the body but leaves the intellect untouched. She resides in the coastal mountain community of Boulder Creek, California, where she enjoys the beauty of nature with her husband and two retrievers. She has two daughters and three young grandchildren.
