Overview

This book features photos captured by the author during the last 25 years or so as he traveled to aviation museums all over the globe. Also here are the redundant aircraft that 'guard' the gates of military bases the world over and lovingly restored 'warbirds'. More than a thousand color photographs is accompanied by an informative caption, and arrangement in type order enables development to be traced. Inevitably, military aircraft predominate but vintage civil types and classic airliners are also featured.

Synopsis

Shows a range of the many aircraft types which have been preserved around the globe, in a museum, on display elsewhere, or as gate guardians at military bases or other facilities.
