About the Author, Thich Nhat Hanh

Born in Hue, Vietnam, Thich Nhat Hanh is a Buddhist monk, poet, scholar, and human rights activist. In 1967, he was nominated by Martin Luther King, Jr., for the Nobel Peace Prize. He is author of more than one hundred books, sixty in English. Previous best selling books include The World We Have and Buddha Mind Buddha Body. He lives at Plum Village, his meditation center in France, and travels worldwide, leading retreats on β€œthe art of mindful living.”
Philippe Ames was born in Berkeley, California.He works in the field of illustration and animation for companies of international reputations such as Colossal Pictures, Curious Pictures and Wildbrain. He also teaches art to children.
His illustrations have appeared in magazines, newspapers, greeting cards, and book covers including two previous Parallax Press children’s books, including Meow Said the Mouse. He lives near Lausanne, Switzerland.
