Library Journal - BookSmack!

The strength of this book is in the techniques sections. The skills taught would be more appropriate for intermediate to advanced cake decorators, though the resulting cakes are gorgeous to look at and can be used by novices as inspiration. Dunn (The Wedding Cake Decorator's Bible) focuses on botanical elements, which he explains in his introduction is his personal preference. Because of this, artificial floral arrangements are also interspersed with the cake decorations. The styling of the cakes tends to be very crisp and fancy, even when simply decorated. Templates for the decorative embellishments are included in the back.I Would Give This to A number of my friends who have taken a few cake-decorating classes as well as friends interested in floral arrangements.
