Synopsis

"Dare I say itas good as the book."—Guardian

Children's Literature

In this elegant 50th anniversary edition, Orwell's masterpiece is enhanced though Ralph Steadman's 100 full color and half tone illustrations that make the twists and turns of its plot more sinister, and by Orwell's unpublished proposed preface to the original edition, as well as his preface to the 1947 Ukrainian edition. Both provide historical context to the development of this metaphoric tale.
