A Certified Chef of Wine Arts through the International Wine Guild, Eliza has taught cooking classes in a variety of subjects, judged culinary competitions, and presented workshops about food writing. She serves on the board of the Colorado Authors' League and is an active member of the International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Association and Slow Food. She lives in Centennial with her family.
