About the Author, Richard Grigonis

Richard Grigonis (affectionately known in the industry as "Zippy") is one of the foremost authorities on computer telephony. He has been the Chief Technical Editor of magazine since its first year of operation in 1994. His writing is noted for providing a thorough understanding of the technical and business aspects of data and telecommunications systems and technology. He is also a preeminent figure in the field of fault resilient computers, and is the author of the book Fault Resilient PCs.

Richard has won several programming awards, and in the early 1990s Richard did I multimedia programming and consulting for AT&T Bell Laboratories in Holmdel New E I jersey. He has also designed and implemented complete LAN and business systems for law firms and literary agencies. Richard has also advised foreign governments and corporations on computer telephony and call center technology. He is a graduate of Rowan University in New Jersey.
