About the Author, Jane Rule

Jane Rule was born in Plainfield, New Jersey in 1931. She grew up in the Midwest and in California, where she graduated from Mills College. Rule moved to Vancouver in 1956, where she worked at the University of British Columbia, with her partner Helen Sonthoff. Rule's novels include Against the Season, and The Young in One Another's Arms.
