Overview
Crocodile is looking for her mommy. In her travels she meets many jungle animals to help her on her way. The shape of the book resembles a crocodile's snout, perfect for clacking.
Parents and caregivers are always looking for books that will engage babies and very small children, and this one fits the bill. And it's just the right size for little hands, diaper bags, strollers, and cribs. The colorful, simple illustrations make this a must-have for baby's first library.

Children's Literature -
The premise is one found in many children's board books—looking for mother. Crocodile is searching for hers and along the way, readers/listeners meet several other jungle residents—parrot, elephant, monkey and tiger. There is a tidbit of information about these animals, for example elephant has rough skin, monkey has a curly tail and tiger has stripes. Also this little book is set up so that a clue is provided as to who is hiding and then fully revealed when the page is turned. A step above the others in the "Clackers" series, it still does not make any significant noise, but it is interesting and ends on a happy note. Reviewer: Marilyn CourtotBook Details
