David Archuleta

David Archuleta was a mildmannered 16 years-old when he first auditioned for American Idol, but by the time the 2008 season of the Popular television program ended, he was a beloved teen idol with some of the most devoted teen idol with some of the most devoted fans in all of show business.

With his classic performances of songs like "Imagine," "Smoky Mountain Memories," "Love Me Tender," and "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me," the seventh season runner-up was, according to Idol judge Paula Abdul, "destined for superstardom."

The blueprint for his success dates back to early in his childhood. Both of his parents were musicians, and at the tender age of six, he became enamored with the musical Les Misérables. By the time he was a teenager, he had already performed on television several times, including a stint as the junior champion on the TV show Star Search. Since his time on Idol, he has released a best-selling CD and even has made his acting debut. He had big dreams, and as a result, David has truly become an American Idol Superstar!
