Purpose: The purpose is to provide concise, accurate information about diseases and conditions commonly encountered in general medicine, for easy reference by the busy healthcare professional who needs to look up answers quickly about any of the aspects of the diseases covered.
Audience: In addition to practicing health professionals, it is a resource for medical and nursing students, residents, nurse practitioners, and those studying to take national board examinations.
Features: The pages are in two-column format, which provides a large amount of information in concise form on each page. There is very little white space, and only a minimum of illustrations and tables. The alphabetical listing of diseases provides a quirk reference to all aspects of a particular disease.
