Synopsis

He raps about good and evil, life and death, God and the devil. He calls himself a messenger of truth. The music world calls him DMX, and he's one of the most successful rap artists. In DMX, the author tells the artist's story-the good and the not so good. After spending much of his youth in group homes, the chance that DMX would become a star in any field (except perhaps in the field of criminal activity) seemed remote. Against all odds, DMX found his way out of poverty and into success. But, as readers of DMX will learn, he has not always been able to leave behind his problems with the legal community. Readers will learn about the real DMX, his faults and his good points, his relationship with God and a loving family. DMX is more than a music icon; he's a complex individual.
