Overview

This guide has three major uses--as a guide to the Earth and the Universe, as a reference source of images for photocopying, and as a basis for examination paper illustrations. For use as a guide, it is grouped thematically into seven sections. Different sections cover major topics including astronomy, geology, meteorology and oceanography, evolution, energy and the environment, and there is a useful section of tables, scales and maps.
