Synopsis

Many years ago, epilepsy was a mystery to humanity. People did not understand its causes or its symptoms. Now, after years of research, we know more about the disease, but although many treatments are available, doctors are still not sure what causes epilepsy in about 70 percent of patients. Luckily, with treatment, most people with epilepsy can be symptom-free for years. Dudley describes the causes and treatment of epilepsy, and explains how people who suffer from epilepsy learn to live a normal life despite the disease.
