Various scenes involving good and bad manners in the classroom, on the playground, and in the library are discussed. Welcoming a new student and being polite to people who are different from the reader is also stressed. The purpose for demonstrating good manners is straightforward. A red box reminder reinforces proper etiquette in a positive way. Taking turns and not complaining are presented as a way to make friends. Thinking of people's feelings is emphasized throughout the book. Illustrations are colorful and resemble graphic novels. Teachers and counselors will be able to use this book with a small groups or classes. The simple text and familiar settings will generate much discussion from students.
