School Library Journal
K-Gr 3-A picture book for children with ADD that is both simple and upbeat. Readers' feelings of sadness and anger are acknowledged and the kinds of assistance that are available are examined. Each page contains a sentence or two of information and large pastel illustrations. The authors talk directly to readers about problems they may have that make them feel "dumb" and "left out," including trouble remembering things or keeping things in order. Help, in the form of people, medication, and different therapies (play, group, family, behavioral), is discussed. A positive message shines through. Scott's cartoon drawings are filled with children who, incidentally, look much happier with themselves at the book's end. Notes for parents are appended.-Linda Beck, Indian Valley Public Library, Telford, PA
