About the Author, Jack Foster

Jack Foster is seventy-four and has been married to the same lady, Nancy Jean, for forty-seven years. They have two sons—Mark and Tim. He has been cooking, eating what he cooks, reading cookbooks, making up recipes, and writing about food since his teens. He is a graduate of Northwestern University, a veteran of the U.S. Army, a former advertising agency creative director, a resident of Santa Barbara, and the author of "How To Get Ideas, Ideaship, and the novel, "Hitchhiking.

Corby was an apprentice at an advertising agency called Graham and Gilles.
