Children's Literature -
A level one reader designed for the preschool kindergarten age. Noodles the dog is always into mischief and this book is no exception. He has a huge smile on his face as he spends an adventurous day inside. At first Noodles is feeling a bit bored as the rain pours down and he finds himself with nothing to do. Readers will love the twinkle in his eyes as he begins to wreak havoc all over the house. The illustrations are delightful as Noodles chases the cat up the curtains, rolls the toilet paper around the house, hides his bone in the flower pot and takes cookies from the table. He finds that maybe rainy days are not so bad after all. The text includes basic sight words, a few unknown words that can be sounded out, along with a very simple 6 to 8 word sentence on each page. The sentences are built with a patterned text to insure success for all ages and stages of readers. This is a perfect book to support the early stages of reading and is sure to delight those who join in the fun. You can continue to follow Noodles in all his adventures by checking out the other titles in the Noodles series also written for the emergent reader; I Can Help, I Love School, No New Pets, and I Won't Share.
