Overview
This volume, an important part of the massive People of India project, presents a quantitative profile of Indian society in terms of selected cultural traits. It presents 392 cultural traits, divided into six parts: identity, ecology, social organization, economy and occupation, linkages, and development processes. This volume highlightrs the spatial distribution of cultural trits across the states and union territories of India, revealing heterogeneity, distribution and linkages at both the local and regional levels.
