Gr 7 Up A computer adventure that will hold lovers of computer graphics who have had some experience in computer programming on the edge of their seats. The Markles skillfully integrate story line (starring PETR, the Programmable Electronic Telecommunicative Robot Series E), computer program listings and illustrations. Graphics are introduced through the use of the IBM PC version of the Logo language; an Apple Logo conversion chart is included. Numerous examples are also given using BASICA, the IBM PC version of BASIC. The programs provided are tied into the story line but they also can be utilized without reading the story. One chapter describes the Apple MacPAINT software system, and examples are given of graphics that can be designed using it.
