Gr 2-3-These three very brief introductions to insects are easy to read and colorfully illustrated. Unfortunately, the sentences are often choppy and subject matter does not always flow well from paragraph to paragraph. Each book is comprised of four related topics with two-page spreads composed of one page of text and a page with a large photograph. The pictures are of good quality, but do not always relate to the text, and because the subject is divided into separate books, the material lacks a logical sense of organization.
