Overview
Jack Lambert-Tough As Steel is a biograhpy of the former Steeler great middle-linebacker and Hall of Famer. It's in its second printing (2002) and is a complete story. Lambert, not only had outstanding athletic ability, had great leadership skill on the field. After the 1974 NFL draft, Lambert became the final link in the Steel Curtain defense that molded them into an indomitable force. If it wasn't for Lambert, Pittsburgh wouldn't have won four Super Bowl championships during the 1970's. The story tells about the man's complexities on and off the field. Read what drove him to achieve success as a child, while he was growing up, and later as an adult in America's athletic arena. On the football field, Lambert was described as being aggressive, mean, and intense. Always intense, for sure! But his most notable trait was, and still is, the need to achieve-expressed by the compound term "Need-Achiever"!Book Details
