Synopsis
In the fourth of a series of joint research projects organized by the Program of Research on Innovation, Management, and the Economy at the University of Ottawa and Statistics Canada, contributors from government, industry, and academe continue to delve into the social and economic dynamics of innovation and issues of measurement, research, and policy. They turn from the regional and technological dimensions of earlier volumes to examine innovation resulting from the use of a set of practices to manage knowledge. Based on a February 2001 workshop in Ottawa, the twelve studies cover frameworks, measurement, and impacts.
