Synopsis
Surveying Canadian school principals, Ryan (Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, U. of Toronto, Canada) examines the strategies that administrators use to encourage diversity and anti-racism in their schools. Principals' perceptions of race and diversity are examined, as are the strategies that they use to promote "inclusive" school-community relationships. It is these relationships that are the most effective in promoting diversity and social justice. Annotation ©2003 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
