There are countless books about ancient Greece currently available. Is there a reason to add this book to your collection? The answer is probably "no" since it is unoriginal in approach, visually undistinguished and occasionally confusing. Each chapter is introduced by 2 or 3 sentences, followed by several sub-heads, sidebars and illustrations. An effort to present as much information as possible results in pages crammed with too much information. Visual excitement becomes mental confusion. The back matter consists of one page containing a glossary and an index. This title is part of "Peoples of the Ancient World" series. 2005, Crabtree Publishing Company, Ages 8 to 12.βEllen R. Butts
