Synopsis

Mandy and Mimi live in the same apartment building, they look alike, and both of their names start with M. How could they not be friends! They are such good friends that people mistake them for twins. That's fine with Mandy and Mimi—"Just call us M and M," they tell everyone. But even in the best of friendships, arguments happen. One awful day everything goes wrong and Mandy and Mimi storm off to their own separate floors. The girls don't speak to each other for three whole days. Will Mandy and Mimi ever be M and M again?

Children's Literature

Mandy and Mimi are inseparable, and so much alike they could be twins. Mimi lives in apartment 3B and Mandy is downstairs in 2B. In this first book, the two friends have a falling out. Will they patch up their disagreement? They do, by literally meeting halfway. It is a wonderful early chapter book, with pencil illustrations on every page. Perfect for any kid who has ever had a "best friend." Next in the series is M&M and the Haunted House Game. 1997 (orig.
