This resource for school librarians lists fiction and nonfiction books recommended for young people in grades five through nine. Each entry features basic information, such as publisher, price, and ISBN as well as descriptive annotations and quotes from reviews. Nearly 6,000 individual books are covered, as well as some 2,000 anthologies and composite works. New to the ninth edition are lists of recommended electronic (Web) resources, periodicals, and graphic novels.
