Synopsis

The Home is a wonderful place for Molly, but life for the little calico began in a very different place.

Safely tucked in her warm bed, Molly dreams of the day that a young humancat picked her up out of the rain and brought her to the Home and to Mother Mary.

Presented from a uniquely feline perspective, Molly is the creation of Joseph S. Bonsall, singer for the country music group The Oak Ridge Boys. Turning his talents from music to children's literature, Bonsall penned this first in a series of books based upon the adventures of Molly and her friends.

Warmly detailed illustrations by Eric Marie Mauterer capture the tenderness of this cat's tale, which is sure to please animal lovers of all ages.

Children's Literature

Molly's earliest memories are of being in a dark, cold place with her brother and sisters when suddenly loud voices interrupted her nap. Quickly, her four brothers and sisters were grabbed by the scruff of the neck and dragged out into the light. Molly was the smallest little kitten, and could not be seen by the humans that took her brothers and sisters away. Molly was left all alone, shivering in the cold and dark. Before long, Molly's mother returned to check on her family. She was heartbroken to see that all her children were gone, but then she heard Molly's soft cry and knew that one of her children had been spared. Molly's mother immediately took charge, knowing that her baby was not safe here. Molly's mother went in search of a good home for her little one. A heartwarming story for all cat lovers and a good way to teach young children responsibility for pets. This story was written by a member of the Oak Ridge Boys musical group.
