Overview
These interactive books will take parents and young children on a reading and writing adventure together. They relive the fun of a special event—a visit to Grandmother's house, a trip to the zoo, their birthday, or a family holiday—by recording it in these books. Children become the books' authors as they finish the sentences using their own words and paste photographs or draw pictures to illustrate them.
Completing a book helps young and beginning readers improve their vocabulary, reading, and writing skills. Each book also introduces other skills kids can work on such as measuring, comparing, counting, understanding family relationships, expressing emotions, and learning family traditions.
Each Interactive Book about Me will bring repeated enjoyment and skill development as children share reading the book aloud with parents, family members, and friends. And when a child's reading progresses beyond the level of the book, parent and child will have a keepsake that captures a wonderful childhood event.

"I really liked working on this with David. He is very happy to have a book about himself, by himself. It was lots of fun and a lovely finished product."—Debby A., mother of 6-year-old
Children can create a book about their trip to the zoo by describing many of the animals encountered there—the short, tall, big, small, noisy, quiet, friendly, and scary ones.
"A marvelous idea, executed in superb fashion by the multiple Seal winning publishers at Boys Town Press. This interactive series of books are a wonderful way to reinforce various special times throughout the year including celebrations, holidays and other events that form so much of the important memories of childhood. Colorful and cute illustrations fill each book while the print is large and clear. Being able to personalize the book, with drawings or writing makes the books a keepsake and a real source of pride."
