Selected proceedings of the Irish Postgraduate Film Research Seminar, an initiative of Trinity College Dublin and the U. of Ulster, held in 2003. Thirteen papers offer interpretations of the history and contemporary state of Irish cinema and related areas. The keynote address by film historian Tom Gunning addresses the theme "Waking and faking: Ireland and cinema astray."
