Overview
Sometimes, growing up is hard—but it can be satisfying, too, as the adorable Ducky, Bunny, and Piggy have all learned. Now it’s Lambkin’s turn, in this wonderful new entry in the popular No More! series.Although little Lambkin has lots of toys, all she really wants is her small, soft, but very dirty comfort blanket. She never lets it go—until Ducky comes over for a play date and gently helps Lambkin give up her beloved blankie and join in the fun.
As always, Bernette Ford and Sam Williams have created a sweet and marvelously illustrated story of friendship that entertains, teaches by example, and encourages children to approach big transitions on their own terms.
Synopsis
Giving up a security blanket can be very hard for a child—but since it was first released a year ago, No More Blanket for Lambkin has helped little ones make that developmental leap. Now, this delightful story is in the popular board format and with an irresistibly appealing touch-and-feel feature: Lambkin’s soft blanket on the front cover.
Although little Lambkin has lots of toys, books, and pretty clothes to dress up in, all she really wants is her blanket. She never lets it go—until Ducky comes over for a playdate and gently helps Lambkin give up her beloved blankie and join in the fun.

PreS-Gr 1—One day Lambkin's friend Ducky comes to visit and decides that they should play laundry day, immediately zeroing in on her friend's much-loved and rather-soiled blanket. Lambkin is none too happy, but she decides it is worth it to play with Ducky. Once the blanket is washed, it's cleaner, but it's also smaller and has some holes. Lambkin is upset, but Ducky surprises her by turning the blanket into a little toy lamb. This is a good story to read to young children when it is nearing the time to give up their blankets, or any little "friend" they are getting too old to carry everywhere. The overall feel is one of gentleness, from the soft style of illustrations to the tone of the dialogue between the two friends. This is a sweet book about two different friendships, one that fades away with age, and one that is strengthened with time and caring.—Kate Neff, Alachua County Library, Gainesville, FL
