Overview

Now in My Day. . . was written and illustrated by cartoonist Milton Caniff who wrote and illustrated the comic strip Steve Canyon for many years. I'm so sorry he didn't live to see his book completed, but I have the memory of his jubilation over my publishing plans for this book. He was so delighted when he learned that I always use acid-free archival paper and linen thread. All his lifetime's work, he said, was printed on poor paper. Crumbling newsprint is, after all, a cartoonist's fate.

Now in My Day. . . is a sentimental poem about old college days. Bound in scarlet book cloth with gold stamping and grey end sheets
