Synopsis

Carrying forward themes introduced in his earlier work—Organizations in Action: Competition between Contexts (2000)—Clark presents a text providing "actionable understanding" of organizational innovations for students, organizational theorists, and marketing and information system specialists. He identifies and examines core processes underlying the current transition in capitalism, a transition which requires a revision of innovation theories if they are to remain useful. The book was largely funded by the UK's Economic and Social Research Council, and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council. Annotation (c)2003 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
